Freeview Firmware

This site started out as a project many years ago before I really knew what I was doing in the world of PHP and data handling. As a result it was badly put together and would fail quite easily. Eventually I picked up the domain firmware.org.uk and decided to start on a rewrite of the site, reviving the long-dead thread on DigitalSpy to get some users on the site quickly.

The site checks the website of the Digital TV Group every day and parses the broadcast schedule for the week, extracting makes and models of various Freeview digiboxes and populating its own database with them.  Users of the site can then sign up to receive emails whenever a firmware update is available for a specific device - allowing them to have their box ready for the update.
